We bought this in the 3T/4T size for my 3T daughter. The pants were quite short on her, and the shirt just fit, so we would've done better with the next size up. She's a petite kid, too, so this really is sized small.

The fabric is very thin, and the red felt of the ruffled color is a completely different shade of red that clashes with the costume. The pants, which look so blousy and cute on the model, are straight and skinny and didn't have any of the nice flow I expected from the picture. They looked more like short pirate pants than long clown pants.

All that said, the costume served its purpose--she wore it when we went to the circus. She felt fun and dressed up, and considering that she was only sitting in her seat, it was all right that it didn't look better. But if you want a costume that is to be more visible, you might want to try something else. If you do purchase this and are expecting it to look like the picture, then I'd say you really have to use the next size up from what you think you need.
