I served in the army for four years and have tons of my old TA50 (military issue gear) that I use for camping and outdoor events. My two boys, age five and eight, love dressing up as soldiers like their dad when we go to the woods, and they have BDU's that they wear for camping and such. I bought this vest directly from the seller's website, as they have tons of other military type gear for kids, and we were trying to accessorize our sons' soldier outfits for halloween. I paid close to 100 bucks for my vest, so when I bought this one for the kids, I kind of halfway expected to recieve a cheaply made product that will easily fall apart. When I received it, I was very surprised to get a vest that closely resembled in quality and design that of my military issue LBV (load bearing vest.) The pockets are well designed, and can hold capri suns, glowsticks and other equipment securely. The materials used to make this product seem very durable, and the adjustable straps look like they will allow for quite a bit of growing. My 5 year old can wear it snug and tight, and my 100lb wife can just fit into it as well. It seems durable enough for at least a few years of camping and halloween.
