The Smurfs Movie Costume Accessory, Smurfette Wig Review

So I have to be fair and state that this wig was not very expensive. The color and length of the hair is very similar to the picture. Two problems with this wig are it is not very thick and it had a lot of creases and tangles when it arrived. Because it is so thin you MUST wear a wig cap especially if you have dark hair. The tangles are very hard to get out because the strands of hair are plastic and the ends start looking bad if you brush the wig too much. I intend to make it work because I bought it to wear as part of a Halloween costume and don't expect to wear it for more than 4 or 5 hours. I can't imagine I will be able to reuse it multiple times due to how hard it is to untangle the strands.

I was so excited when I finally got this in the mail only to be let down when I wore it for Halloween. The fit was just right and everything appeared great...then about an hour into the day I realized the green layer was starting to come apart and shred everywhere! I didn't do anything to cause this as I was just sitting at home passing out candy since we have a new baby. The hat is very cute and is attached with a little comb. It, of course, arrived squished as all hats do, but it wasn't a big deal.
The neckpiece really makes the outfit with the bat on it.

I wore a black silky strapless bra under the corset and laced it tight so my middle wasn't showing like in the picture, but the corset was still very sexy.
The skirt has a little bustle in the back, which is very cute.

I didn't get the gloves, but did wear it with silky sheer black thigh-high stockings and patent leather black stilettos.

I've had a lot of Leg-Avenue and other like brand Halloween costumes (including Sexy Pink Pirate Treasure Hunt and Militant Mistress), and this has been my favorite by far.

First, I start with 3 and go up or down based on experience inclusive of price/value. This item is what one would expect of a costume (i.e., so so quality). Issue is my 12 year old daughter, who is pretty skinny but a bit tall, found the skirt too small and wore shorts under it. Would be a 2 start for this time but she really like the costume and won a costume contest category at school for it. This would make it a 4 start. So, I settled on 3 stars.

My 10 year old Grandson had to give a speech on someone who died before he was born. Most kids in the class were taking historical figures (probably the point of the assignment) - I suggested he do his on his Great-Grandfather. My Father was stationed in Pearl Harbor at the time of the attack by the Japanese on December 7, 1942. Our home town did a front page story on him when I was a young teen, complete with his navy picture. I gave Tyler a copy of the article, pulled up pictures of the USS Raleigh from the Internet, and had him watch the attack scenes from the movie Pearl Harbor. He was amazed to be able to take a history lesson and connect it to someone in his family - even if he never met the man. Part of the assignment was optional - to dress as the character. When I found this on Amazon, I had to get it for him. The material was a little thin so he wore his baseball sliding shorts under the pants and a t-shirt under the top, but the over all look was good. The only down side is the hat - it wasn't quite round or deep enough to sit on his head properly and I think he ended up leaving the hat in his locker.

This armor will catch some eyes, but I could swear whoever designed it, made it for a portly midget. I'm not the tallest guy at 5'7" but it only fit around my waist and then there was a 3 in gap from my chest(I not fat either). The points of contact being the tips of the shoulders and the waist make it rather uncomfortable, even with generous amounts of clothing. On the up side, the steel seems sufficiently gauged to deflect swords. Is there someone in you life that is swinging a sword at you? Take care in the fact that your recent purchase of a breast plate will provide you with the necessary means to survive such an attack.

To sum up...It's shiny and might stop a hit.
